R3 STUDENT OUTREACH

R3 Student Outreach was founded by Juan Ramos, a young man who had experienced bullying and exclusion throughout school and vowed to help others like him find a path forward. His dream was to create a safe, empowering space for students at risk of dropping out to get back on track.

Kym Rapier was the first major donor to believe in Juan’s vision. With $125,000 in funding from Kym’s Angels Foundation, R3 expanded its physical space, grew its programs, and began reaching more students across San Antonio - and now Dallas.

Kym and Glenn toured R3’s facility and saw firsthand the holistic support it provides: a state-certified high school diploma program, Google IT certification courses, computer and workforce training, and wraparound services including clothing and supplies through a partnership with San Antonio Threads. Graduates don’t just receive a certificate of completion—they walk away with a true diploma and new hope for the future.

Today, R3 is one of the only programs of its kind in Texas, transforming outcomes for at-risk youth and inspiring communities to invest in second chances.
