GOD'S DOGS RESCUE

From the moment Kym Rapier learned about God's Dogs Rescue (GDR), she was deeply moved by their mission to save abandoned and neglected dogs in the San Antonio area—a region with one of the highest rates of stray animals in the country. In 2019, Kym made an initial major donation to help GDR expand its operations and meet the urgent needs of these animals.

Thanks to her support, GDR now operates a sprawling sanctuary that houses 150 dogs at any given time, in addition to managing over 400 foster dogs throughout the community. Kym’s Angels Foundation recently gifted the organization $1 million to fund the construction of an on-site medical clinic and new indoor housing to shelter animals during extreme weather.

With the new clinic, veterinary costs have decreased dramatically, and GDR has partnered with a local vet who visits weekly. The Foundation also funded the purchase of two tall transport vans that now bring adoptable dogs to new homes on both U.S. coasts—often reaching as far as the Canadian border. To date, more than 8,500 dogs have been rehomed thanks to GDR’s tireless efforts and Kym’s transformative support.
